Tuesday, 04 August 2009 00:00

ExtraScope has been chosen to assist Swansea College with implementing Digital signage at their Ty Coch campus this summer.

Our assistance has included installation of the Plasma and TFT TVs throughout the campus and the infrastructure hardware and cabling to support the system.

ExtraScope's has had a long running relationship with the college. For the past six years our engineers have maintained the college's physical network infrastructure at all five campuses. Every year there has been numerous projects where we have installed cat 5e and fibre cabling. In addition, ExtraScope has been the sole installer of interactive whiteboards and projectors over the past three years.

Digital signage is a form of electronic display that shows information, advertising and other messages. Digital signs (such as LCD, LED, plasma displays or projected images) can be found in public and private environments, such as retail stores and corporate buildings.

Advertising using digital signage is a form of advertising in which content and messages are displayed on digital signs with a common goal of delivering targeted messages to specific locations at specific times. This is often called "digital out of home".

The benefits of digital signage over traditional static signs are that the content can be exchanged more easily, animations can be shown, and the signs can adapt to the context and audience, even interactively. Digital signage also offers superior return on investment compared to traditional printed signs.

ExtraScope can assist you with your digital signage solutions. Please call us to discuss any requirements you may have.
